Fighting for what’s right: Social, Community and Disability workers and employers lead the charge

The call for change in the Social, Community and Disability sector has just increased with a Skilled, Respected, Equal Alliance (SREA) between employers, organisations and workers joining together to push for a fairer future.

The SREA, launched by Australian Services Union (ASU) comes as a widespread call for change, with those in the sector agreeing that for too long, workers have been undervalued under an outdated system.

What is the Skilled, Respected, Equal Alliance calling for?
✔ A modern, fair classification system that reflects your skills and responsibilities
✔ Government funding to support proper implementation
✔ Respect and recognition for the vital work of social and community services

With the Federal Election now officially underway, growing the alliance creates a united front, further calling on the government and giving us momentum we need to put reform on the national agenda.

Who’s already on board?
There’s been a significant united front from national peaks and NDIS providers to community legal centres and family services, employers from all parts of the sector are stepping up to be part of this growing call for reform.
