Undervalued and overworked: Australian Services Union calls for recognition of NDIS Workers

Groundbreaking research from UNSW found Community & Disability Support Workers are overworked, undervalued, and underpaid. In 2024, the ASU as part of their Skilled, Respected, Equal Campaign launched a landmark case in the Fair Work Commission to end wage theft and fraud in the NDIS.

Wage Theft Becomes a Criminal Offence in Australia from January 2025

From 1 January 2025, intentional wage theft is now classified as a criminal offence. Australian Services Union (ASU) welcomes the new legislation as a critical step towards closing the wage theft loophole in the NDIS.
